"The Streetspace Web Station™ works with a standard web browser that is able to deliver targeted information to users and targeted bystanders in a subtle manner. The terminal can therefore also be used as an effective communication channel for advertising purposes,” explained Mathai.
The Streetspace Web Station™ is particularly suited for public spaces with high foot traffic such as airports, train stations, and government related buildings; for retail environments such as shopping malls, supermarkets and product showrooms; and for F&B outlets such as restaurants and coffee shops. Many visitors to the EWL booth at the Sands Expo site were drawn to the Web Station’s appealing futuristic design and ease of use.
The Web Station also caught the attention of the media. Pocket-lint, the premier gadget news and reviews site in the United Kingdom reported- "Streetspace demonstrates just how online the world wants to be today. A robust computer, designed to industrial grade standards, the theory behind this waterproof offering is that one could be placed in every mall or supermarket to let folk go online whilst out and about…."
"We are very excited with the response, “ said Tom Mathai. “We have been looking forward to starting off 2008 by presenting our product to selected representatives at CES and we received a lot of enquiries about the unique features available in our product. CES has given us the opportunity to build solid relationships with poten-tial buyers and distributors".
EWL received positive feedback from prospective buyers and is currently in negotiations with interested parties.
